The nine Dota 2 Enneagram types
Every type in the Dota 2 Enneagram, what drives each one, what each fears, and the line each is most likely to type.
Type 1
The Adult
“Buy a TP.”
Wards bought, TP in the bag, dies once and apologises for it. Picks what the team needs and then quietly resents it.
Type 2
The Babysitter
“I'll get the Pipe.”
Dies so the carry doesn't, heals people who never say thanks, gives up the lane farm without being asked. Keeps score anyway.
Type 3
The Attention Seeker
“That was my arrow.”
Takes first blood, takes the farm, takes the credit. Plays two heroes and needs both. When it works it is a highlight; when it does not, it is your fault.
Type 4
The Mad Scientist
“Trust me.”
Randoms on purpose, builds Dagon on purpose, picks the hero nobody has seen since 2019 on purpose. The win rate is a coin, and the coin is the point.
Type 5
The Backdoor Merchant
“Top is open.”
Has never seen a team fight and has taken more towers than anyone. Boots of Travel by twenty, throne at forty percent while the team types.
Type 6
The Paranoid
“Sentry here.”
Twenty sentries, ten dewards, a TP for every emergency and a buyback in every loss. Sees the gank coming, pings it five times, dies to it anyway.
Type 7
The Laid Back
“Chill, it's turbo.”
Sixty APM, one hero, no plan, a rune in each pocket. Present at every game and absent from most of it. Genuinely enjoying this more than you.
Type 8
The Space Creator
“Go go go.”
First into every fight, most damage taken, most deaths, occasionally most kills. Buys back to do it again. The enemy carry's favourite player.
Type 9
The Fifth Man
“Sure.”
Never the best at anything, never the worst, never typed, never late. Fights when the team fights, picks what is left, and is the reason the other four have a game at all.
